Even as writing newbies, the reasonableness of your experience and perspective is easy to see. At the first opportunity, we plan to quote you as your closing para says it all. What an exciting and unprecedented era we are seeing unfold . . . a kind of dismantling of what doesn’t work. Thank you so much for this timely post. We appreciate the opportunity to benefit from your words and experience.

Good post. I agree with much of what you said. However, I’m still not totally convinced that trad publishers won’t reconfigure themselves and take some control of the new paradigms out there. Much like the record companies did. Of course, they could die off too. Hard to tell right now. What I think is fascinating is the absolute huge number of Indie books out there in 2010 and 2011. Clearly, many are jumping on the bandwagon. I am therefore very curious to watch, and see what happens. Keep me posted with more of your thoughts.
